New Name, new blog.

… After all I do speak two languages sometimes a third one, although it may seem like I am the only one who understands it. The name “Arte is Foto” is a combination of three languages. I thought it made sense to combine all in one perhaps it creates a better connection between my two worlds. For now on, I will be posting on the new blog but I am going to leave the current blog open until everyone finds the new address. Perhaps a few months. I am glad is sunny today.

This was my last presentation in ‘Advanced Photo’ it went well, despite the fact that my teacher did not like the lettuce presentation on the white stand you see on the right side of the photo.

Yet, another post about the vegetable series, perhaps I will continue the series entering my 4th year next Winter, or maybe not. I am still trying to find out. One idea I have is that I will paint my photographs in larger size, perhaps 5 x 7 feet, although this is just a preliminary thought. I can’t decide which is one I like.

This concludes the vegetable series for this year.

PHOTO’s: A Commissioned project.

For the past month and half, I’ve been working for an artists from Montreal. I’ve documented her work and her interaction with it. These are some of the photographs. I bought a pro flash kit, which I am still learning to use, made by Profoto. It has so much power that at the moment I am only using one mono light.

… I have been thinking of a name for this series, and I think I have a few ideas I like so far. ‘soldiers’ or ‘army of vegetables’ etc. this is another photograph, with ammunitions.

Hello, this is part of the five photos I’ll be presenting for my final presentation in my photo class. The project its a continuation of ‘my’ vegetable series I’ve started a while ago (three semesters ago to be exact).

Project Report: Inter-media

… this is a report I submitted for my inter-media class. I baked my grandmothers cheese cake with an altered recipe variation I came up with… In the next few days I’ll be posting more photographic posts. As I am finishing mid terms exam I have more time available to update my blog.

Clothing: greens

… This Friday was last from my scheduled sessions I had planed to shoot at the multi-media room at school. Next I think I am going to go back and do the head/shoulders shots I was doing at the beginning. Next Friday I will work on that…. I had a model scheduled to come on Friday but he had to cancel, so not model for a while until I find one. Here are the two photos:

 

Manuel: green pants

Second Friday working at the multi-media room at school. I was able to almost finish the pants, again, I should of reserved the room for longer time… next Friday though, I should have a real model, he is a student from my school. Will post the pictures.
